How to Attach Dynamic Wires to Any Object in C4D.

This technique can be used to quickly drape wires from objects or connect multiple objects together with wires. You can drape the wires and make them dynamic so they can be affected by forces.

We’ll use a Mograph Cloner to generate points on an object, then connect the points with a Tracer Object.

To make the resulting splines drape like wires, we’ll use the little-known Catenary Spline Modifier.

We’ll convert the result into an editable spline, then using a Rope and Cloth tag, we can connect the wires back to the clones with a dynamic Connector.

This tutorial was requested by Dugan (one of our awesome Members).

If you make something cool with this technique, we’d love to hear about it in the comments section down below!
