An easy-to-setup and fast rendering tape unrolling effect in Cinema 4D and Redshift Renderer – includes 2 tape versions and a version that uses the same technique to create a paint roller effect (that also loops).

Watch the brief tutorial where we discuss the setup and download and use the project files royalty-free in your own work.

This tutorial was requested by Noh Hoon (one of our awesome Members) who wanted to recreate the tape unrolling effect from the SKAD spot by Setter Agency – see the original artwork here.

Get the free Roll-it plugin here to easily roll your objects - in depth tutorial here.

If you make something cool with this technique, we’d love to hear about it in the comments section down below!
